2020: A Year In Review!

Two new music videos and singles later, along with a handful of live streams under our belts and we could not be more proud with all we accomplished this year! 2020 was certainly a crazy year, one that no one could have prepared for. Despite that, we made some massive steps forward this year and pushed ourselves beyond our expectations. We would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout the year; were it not for you, our 2020 would not have been anywhere nearly as special as it was.

2020 truly kicked off with the release of our first new single since 2018, "Blow", on March 27, with the music video following on April 7. Recorded at Phase One Studios with Murray Daigle and Mike Smith, "Blow" became our fastest growing single and our most streamed song to date, surpassing 80K streams! Furthermore, the track was aired on radio networks around the globe, including Canadian stations 97.7 HTZ FM, 94.9 The Rock, 96.9 Radio Humber, CKLU 96.7 FM, 106.9 The Wolf FM, among others, while also being featured on Loudwire's Weekly Wire Spotify playlist and drawing comparisons to the likes of Led Zeppelin, Velvet Revolver, and Alice In Chains. Stream and download "Blow" here!

"Blow" continued to grow throughput the summer as we looked to celebrate our 5 year anniversary since our very first performance in 2015. With live shows still being off the table, we launched a limited run of Anniversary T-Shirts to celebrate the milestone and we greatly appreciate the support we saw. Shortly after, however, we were blown away to learn that we had made the top 16 of 97.7 HTZ FM's annual Rocksearch competition. Like all bands from Ontario, this had been a long time coming and a goal of ours from the very beginning. We eventually made it to the semi-finals (top 8) and while we did not make it into the finals, we are, once again, incredibly appreciative for everyone who voted to get us as far as we went. It was amazing to be recognized by the team at 97.7 HTZ FM as well as seeing everyone come together to support us. It was also in the summer when we performed our first two live stream concerts, both with Peterborough, Ontario's 101.5 The Wolf FM.

As the year began winding down, we began working on our second music video for the year. "To The Gallows" was released on November 20 with the music video following on November 27. Like "Blow", "To The Gallows" was also recorded at Phase One Studios with Murray Daigle and Mike Smith in January/February of this year and was filmed and produced by Diego del Rio. As the single continues to grow on Spotify and radio, is has already been added to Loudwire's Weekly Wire Spotify playlist and has drawn haunting comparisons to Alice In Chains, Metallica, and Led Zeppelin. Stream and download "To The Gallows" now. Furthermore, as 2020 came to a close, we launched our first ever line of hoodies. Thank you to all who purchased there limited edition OITC sweaters! To top it all off, Blue Rhymez Entertainment named us the 'Best Rock Band' of 2020.

Once again, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for making our 2020 an incredibly successful year that has pushed us as artists to bring our music to you in new and engaging ways. We wish you all the best this new year and look forward to continuing to move forward in ways that are both socially responsible and exciting. From the four of us at OITC, thank you, none of this would have been possible with out you.
