In yet another year of stunning losses- from alternative  legends like Chris Cornell and Chester Bennington to classic rock pioneers of the likes of Tom Petty and Malcolm Young and of course Canadian icon Gord Downie – the dumpster fire that was 2016 seemed to only have spread in 2017.  Despite this, if you listened hard enough beyond Taylor Swift and through all the political turmoil, there was actually quite a bit to hear.  Read on to find out OITC’s top ten new records we could not stop list...

As many of you have heard, The Earl Of Whitchurch hosted the Guinness World Record Attempt for the Longest Concert Ever by Epidemic Music Group. What was originally set out to be a 16 day event grew into an 18 day long extravaganza. To qualify for a world record, the rules were very strict with no more than 30 seconds between songs, 5 minutes in between artists, and 10 audience members must be in attendance at all times. We would like to send a massive congratulations to the amazing team at Epi...

While 2016 saw the loss of many artists who are beyond influential- David Bowie, Prince, Lenard Cohen, and Glenn Frey, to name a few- it was an excellent year for music. From the return of icons of the likes of Bowie, Metallica, and The Rolling Stones, to new releases from modern sensations, such as The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Panic! At The Disco, 2016 proved to be an outstanding year for new music, making it very difficult to narrow it down. Here are our six favorite albums released this yea...
